Plant No. 554 (San Antonio, Texas, U.S.A.) The Levi Strauss & Co. factory No. 554, located on South Zarzamora Street in San Antonio, Texas, held a distinctive place in the history of the American textile industry. Founded in 1966 by Santone Industries and fully acquired by Levi Strauss & Co. in 1978, it stood for decades as a testament to the golden era of domestic manufacturing.
